The perfect base to explore the picturesque landscapes of Benbecula and beyond. We were greeted with warm hospitality and a promise to fix the slightly treacherous driveway. The hostess assured us that they were on top of it, but I couldn't help but feel like it was an uphill battle. quite literally! Despite the uncooperative power lines hindering our scenic shots, the tranquility of the surroundings still captured our hearts.
Driveway repairs needed.

The breakfast offerings could have been improved with a wider selection of options.

During our recent stay at a property in Hallin, we had a truly magical experience. The property itself was a real gem, exuding exceptional quality and offering breathtaking views. We were captivated by the peace and tranquility it provided, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the island living experience. The spaciousness of the property and the three generous bedrooms provided us with ample room to relax and unwind. We were thrilled to find that the property was fully equipped with everything we needed, including board games and books for entertainment during the evenings. The remote location was perfect for those seeking a quiet and peaceful getaway, with the only sounds being the nearby sheep. And the views. oh, the views were simply spectacular, truly one of the highlights of our stay.
We did encounter a few minor issues during our stay. One night, we filled the bath and unfortunately, we couldn't get any more hot water for most of the night.

The house was amazing, modern and super clean, with everything we needed. The location offered spectacular ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere. The owner was responsive and resolved any issues quickly.
We had an issue with the hot water supply, which made the jacuzzi useless. The WiFi was limited, but for some, this might be a bonus.

The rooms at Bitacora in Hallin were cozy and welcoming. I loved the fact that there were 4 bedrooms, providing ample space for my fellow backpackers and me. The bathrooms were well-equipped, with a shower and a bath, so we had the option to relax after a long day of exploring. The free toiletries were a nice touch and added to the overall convenience. Moreover, the bathroom with a hair dryer was a lifesaver for us as we didn't have to carry our own. As a backpacker, it made our stay hassle-free and comfortable.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the feature where there was only one bathroom equipped with a hair dryer. However, this is just my subjective opinion, and I understand that others may not mind it at all.
